Singkat cerita,Closer menceritakan sepasangan kekasih yang pernah saling menyayangi. Setelah putus 4 tahun lamanya, mereka bertemu kembali di sebuah  bar hotel dimana ia menghabiskan banyak minuman. 4 tahun yg telah di lalui tanpa gadis itu dapat ia lewati dengan baik, tapi malam itu ketika mereka kembali di pertemukan semua keadaan tersebut berubah menjadi kacau. 4 tahun bukan waktu yang singkat untuk melupakan, tapi ketika melihat gadis itu lagi usahanya terasa sia-sia karna hati dan pikirannya mengingat masa-masa indah mereka ketika bersama dulu.
